How Pronunciation Practice works
Every exercise uses real lines from Yuna in America, our YouTube story series. You practice them in two ways, and the app never plays the video while you speak, so it works with your phone speaker or with earphones.
Two ways to practice
- Listen & repeat: hear a line, then say it the same way. Your turn starts right after the line and ends by itself when you stop talking.
- Be Yuna: the other characters speak, and you say Yuna's lines, shown on the screen. Each level adds more of the conversation, so you speak longer step by step.
What the AI checks
Every line you say gets a pronunciation score from 0 to 100, and the words that need work are marked: unclear sounds, missing last sounds, and wrong or skipped words. Next to each line you can play the original and then your own voice, to hear the difference yourself. An intonation chart shows how your voice goes up and down compared with the original.
Repeating a native speaker right after hearing them is one of the oldest ways to train pronunciation: the sound is still fresh in your ear, so you can copy the rhythm, the stress and the way words run together.
Combine it with the 1-minute speaking practice: repeating lines trains clear, natural pronunciation, and speaking about a random topic trains fluent speaking without a script.
